What No One is Telling You About San Antonio Online Marketing
The internet is creating an open market where small businesses have a voice. Big media monopolies no longer have ultimate control, and it enables entrepreneurial economies–like you can see in San Antonio, Texas–to rise up.
San Antonio is well known for tourist locations like the Riverwalk or the Air Force Base, however, if you hadn’t paid attention, there are droves of small businesses that give way to diverse cuisine, lots of family activities, and a community feel.
Whether you’re looking for alternative medicine, an old fashioned San Antonio Contractor, or one-on-one business consulting with a San Antonio Marketing company (like KOHA Inc.), you can find it all in the local area.
My Story
I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. Akron’s a much smaller town with less amenities as can be found in San Antonio. The population is much different, and the culture is different.
In 2015, I decided to leave my hometown to create a life for myself. I joined the US Air Force and came to San Antonio for Basic Military Training (BMT). I didn’t get to know much about the city during BMT except how hot it can get between April and May, but after I graduated, and got to explore, I came to love San Antonio.
Big But Loveable
Many big cities experience lots of crime because they’re highly populated, but even while San Antonio is on the top 10 list of most populated cities in the United States, it still has a reputation of being fairly safe and family friendly.
The people are usually friendly, they speak, they laugh, and they welcome you. There’s alot for outsiders to learn from the hospitality rendered from San Antonio residents, and what better way than by marketing our city well!
San Antonio Small Business Marketing
Even more, as an entrepreneur, San Antonio can be a great classroom for honing your craft. There’s a large entrepreneur community, several San Antonio office spaces, lots of business events (many are free), local meetups to network with others, and there’s a genuine support for the “underdog”.
As a minority-dominated culture, San Antonio, seems to have a genuine support for the underdog. They want to see the underprivileged, disadvantaged, or disinfranchised person have a chance to succeed.
As a result, you can see lots of low budget startups like entrepreneurs with water coolers or entrepreneurs washing windows at the street lights. Despite the appearance of no money, many people still patronize the businesses that have very little startup costs, and even make supportive comments in conjunction.
San Antonio Small Business Competition
Despite the genuine acceptance of the underdog, there’s still fierce competition in the small business sector in San Antonio. Many local businesses are using savvy business principles and far surpass other local businesses located elsewhere in the world.
For example, as I was reviewing the San Antonio General Contracting companies for a client, I found quite a few that were using digital marketing very well to acquire clients. Despite the fact that general contracting is not a “marketing industry”, there were still hundreds of companies with websites, local listings on Google Maps, several backlinks, reviews, and some even have Youtube channels with quite a few videos!
Don’t Underestimate San Antonio Online Marketing!
Businesses in San Antonio have much more competition if they want to stick out. The bar is set high in comparison to other small towns. While the “underdog” is shown grace in San Antonio, it’s not a sufficient strategy that’ll take you into a middle class full-time income comfortably.
San Antonio is technology-prone with many internet cafes and a wide populace of people with personal computers and smartphones. If you want a thriving business in San Antonio, it’s likely, you should consider a marketing strategy that uses the power of digital marketing.
The San Antonio populace is using search engines to find products and services to buy. For example, let’s take a look at “attorneys in San Antonio TX”…
The “avg” column shows how many people are searching the keyword every month. As you can see “attorneys in san antonio tx” receives 152 searches per month.
If you’re a San Antonio attorney that ranks in the search engines for that keyword, it’s likely you can expect 26 visitors per month from that keyword. If your customers typically pay an average of $50 (a very conservative estimate for attorneys) and 10% of the 26 website visitors become customers, then you could potentially gain an additional $100-150 monthly. If the value per customer is higher, then your profit from using SEO or search engine marketing could be even higher.
In the “QSR” column, you see 91. The QSR shows how many people are competing for the keyword. As you can see, there are 91 competitors.
While 91 may sound like a high number, it’s a small number in comparison to some niches. There’s still loads of potential for San Antonio business owners to take digital marketing serious and leverage it for massive traffic, leads, and sales.
